From the Collection:
Seventeen examples of broadsides and pamphlets that appeared with the freeing of the press in Vienna during the Revolution of 1848 comprise this collection. Subjects addressed include the formation of a national guard composed of citizens and counseled by intellectuals, the request by the Monarchy to exercise restraint against protesters, calls and support for a constitutional monarchy, open criticism of the monarchy, and manifestos concerning citizenship among other issues.
