Scope and Content
From the Collection:
The papers include files concerning the School of American Research (SAR) 1952-1971 and financial records of the Laboratory of Anthropology, Inc. 1961-1963. These include correspondence regarding the search for a director for the School and Museum of New Mexico, financial matters affecting the School and Museum; the School's real estate properties; gifts and financial contributions to the School; and the relationship of School and Museum. Included is a copy of the State of New Mexico Senate Bill 147, the Act concerning the Museum of New Mexico. Also included is a report on the Navajo Dam project by the National Park Service. Additionally, there is a photocopy of the SAR board's Resolution in Memory of Parker Wilson made in 1984 and cover letter to his family.
