Content Description
Box 86.1 contains circa 284 loose prints and negatives; prints and negatives previously filed with other two other accession records; five miniature size print portfolios (4" x 3 1/4"). Box 86.2 Folder 8 contains images of New Mexico. Subjects include images of Las Vegas residences, businesses, schools, and cultural and religious institutions; building fires; floods; other New Mexico locations. Some of the prints were found by the donors in the basement of their Las Vegas residence, presumed to have been abandoned by the Adlon family.

Biographical / Historical
Robert (Bob) Phillips (1910-1999) and Marjorie (Jodie) Avery Phillips (born 1910?) lived in Las Vegas, New Mexico and Santa Fe, New Mexico. Bob Phillips was worked for the Las Vegas Optic newspaper as a lynotype operator. Jodie Phillips wored for the Las Vegas City Schools as an art teacher. After retirement, they briefly owned a travel company in Santa Fe in the 1970s. The Las Vegas residence occupied by the couple for approximately four decades originally belonged to the Adlon family, founders of the Las Vegas Iron Works Co.
