This collection consists of an album of 63 photographs. When it was bound it was entitled “Views of Central America and Mexico”. However, it is important to note that most of the photographs, if not all, were taken in Guatemala during the late 19th century, which was an important economic transition period in Guatemalan history. These photographs include villages, towns, churches, architecture, landscapes, volcanoes, coffee plantations and portraits of Indigenous people. The photographs in this album were taken by various authors but we have not been able to identified them. We believe the photographs that show landscapes and the production of coffee might have been taken by one photographer while another photographer might have taken the portraits of Indigenous people.

Esta colección consiste de un álbum con 63 fotografías. Cuando se encuaderno se tituló “Paisajes de Centroamérica y México” (en inglés). Sin embargo, es importante destacar que la mayoría de las fotografías, sino es que todas, fueron tomadas en Guatemala a finales del siglo 19, el cual fue un periodo importante de transición económica en la historia de Guatemala. Estas fotografías incluyen pueblos, ciudades, iglesias, arquitectura, paisajes, volcanes, plantaciones de café y retratos de gente indígena. Las fotografías en este álbum fueron tomadas por varios autores sin embargo no han podido ser identificados. Creemos que las fotografías en este álbum que muestran paisajes y la producción de café fueron tomadas por un fotógrafo, mientras que otro pudo haber tomado los retratos de personas indígenas.
