 Item — Box: 3
Identifier: PAAC.101.A01

Scope and Contents

Sylvanus Morley created this album for Elizabeth White in 1936 to show progress on restoration on a sweat house at Chichen Itza, Mexico. Elizabeth and her sister, Martha Root White, funded the restoration. Included with the album was an itemized list detailing each photograph (descriptions correspond to the photograph's labeled number), a letter documenting the progress (as well as a plea for more funding), and a personal letter, all written by Sylvanus Morley, who was leading the excavation. These documents can all be found in PAAC.101 box 2, folder 1. This album has been digitized.
