Verle L. Annis Photographs, 1936
File — Box: 3
Scope and Contents
Verle L. Annis was a professor at the University of Southern California School of Architecture for over 20 years, retiring as Professor Emeritus in 1962. Annis accompanied Edgar L. Hewett and the School of American Research on a field school trip to South America in 1935. A few of these photographs were mixed into the Hewett Collection, though a large majority were found in the subject files of the Photo Archives. However, there is evidence that Annis sent the photographs to Hewett and they at one time lived wthin the collection. (See AC105_F6_B9 for more information.) Photographs include archaeological ruins and sites, group photos of the class, and include Edgar L. Hewett, Donizetta A. Hewett, and Bertha Dutton, among others.
