Major Lee Moorhouse of Pendleton, Oregon was an Indian Agent for the Umatilla Indian Reservation and a photographer. From 1888 to 1916 he produced over 9,000 images which document urban, rural, and Native American life in the Columbia Basin, and particularly Umatilla County, Oregon. (4) Photographs by Major Lee Moorhouse: (1) 4 1/2x6 1/2 "Summer" Umatilla tepee; (1) 7 1/2x9 1/2 Umatilla tepee; (1) 8x10 tepee on Umatilla reservation, Oregon near Pendleton; (1) 8x10 tepee "Breakup at Winter" Umatilla Agency. There is also a book "Indian Photographs, by Lee Moorhouse.
