Original photograph of Crayton Hall Conger (1826-1880). The record includes a letter from donor, Mary Lou Skinner Ross, explaining the photograph. The photograph is of her grandfather who had taken over a trading store in Fort Union, New Mexico from his brother, A.W. Conger. Crayton H. Conger was born in New York April 24, 1826 and died from heart trouble at age 54.
