Content Description
Two postcards mailed during WWI by a soldier (initials L.E.C.) traveling by train. Both are Harvey postcards of New Mexico: the city water plant in Clovis and a street scene in Carlsbad. They were mailed in 1918 from Kansas City and Chicago to Miss Willie B. Kennedy of Nashville, TN. Although the sender is not identified, they give context to military service in 1918 and around railroad travel. On one L.E.C. wrote, "Rec'd very cordially at many little towns. It pays to be a soldier at times."
