This photo project documents the pilgrimage to Chimayo during Holy Week in 1996. These exhibit prints are the outcome of a documentary project involving four photographers (Sam Howarth, Miguel Gandert, Cary Herz, Oscar Lazoya) and two bilingual oral historians (Enrique Lamadrid and Troy Fernandez) who wanted to document the annual event through the perspectives of its participants.
