Collection of (53) Miguel Gandert and (38) Anne Noggle prints. Noggle was an aviator before turning photographer. She was among the some 1,000 volunteers recruited to serve in the American Women's Air Service Pilots (WASPs). She discovered photography while studying art history. Works by her in this collection include: Soviet air force women pilots, self-portraits, face-lift series, other series, people. Gandert, a native of EspaƱola, New Mexico, began photographing as a child, which eventually led to an MFA in photography. He mostly photographs the Southwest region, and the relationships between people and various heritages and communities. Works by him in this collection include: prisons, people, Persian Gulf War protest, churches, Mexico views and scenes, Arizona, river crossing, prostitutes, New Mexico views and scenes.
