Ephemera and snapshots related to the Fray Angelico Chavez family, New Mexico, ca. 1920s - 1950s. 39 photographs of family members that include Fray Angelico Chavez, Chavez serving as Army Chaplain in Rome, Italy, Anita Gonzales Thomas in Fiesta costume at the La Fonda Hotel, Nora Chavez, Della Chavez, Rumaldo Chavez, Felix Baca, Manual Chavez, Garcia de Noriega, and various scenes of Fray Angelico Chavez with unidentified people. Additional non-photographic materials include a pair of gold metal frame eyeglasses, sterling silver cigarette lighter with a floral design and inscription "fr. A.C.," a plaque from King of Spain to Chavez (1987), a plaque from Civitan Club to Chavez (1986), a plaque with a newspaper clipping announcing Chavez's 80th birthday, a plaque from the 42nd NM State Legislature honoring Chavez (1996), Plaque from the Pueblo Colorado Genealogical Society of Hispanic America to Chavez, and various other newspaper clippings and letters concerning the Chavez family.
