Approximately 355 photographs of various sizes, almost exclusively Detroit Photographic Company (with a few William Henry Jackson, Parker, and Tabor/Watson photographs) depicting scenes throughout North America, ca. 1880s to 1910s. The wide range of subjects includes landscapes, landmarks, monuments, national parks, businesses, and unidentified people in scenes of daily life from areas that include California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, Wyoming, British Columbia (Canada), Quebec (Canada), Ontario (Canada), Panama Canal (Panama), Mexico, and 1 photograph of the Taj Mahal in India.
