Portfolio of color prints issued by Standard Oil Company. Possibly related to the Standard Oil Company of New Jersey [SONJ] photography project, which ran from 1943 - 1963. Standard Oil recruited Roy Stryker of the Farm Security Administration (FSA) to manage a project intended to document the lives of workers in the oil industry as well petroleum exploration, production, marketing, and use. Photographers who took part in this project included Russell Lee, Gordon Parks, Esther Bubley and John Vachon.
