Scope and Contents From the Series: Photographs include black & white prints, copy negatives and color prints of Peña, his family, the San Mateo and Grants area, the Peña ranch, Foreign Service, other individuals and the Mt. Taylor Winter Quadrathlon. Of particular interest are the early images documenting the village of San Mateo, New Mexico, including village life and sheep ranching activities. A large portion of the photographs pertain to Peña’s years in the foreign service in Costa Rica, Paraguay and Bolivia.
