According to the April 6, 1925 issue of Cotton and Cotton Oil News, the average life of a gin plant was seven years, the length of time much of this collection spans (1925-1932). Correspondence and general office files, as well as financial and production records, comprise a large portion of the collection. In addition to these records, there is a sizeable newspaper clipping file, mainly pertaining to the Pink Cotton Bollworm's destruction of crops in Texas....
