Scope and Contents From the Collection: Items found in this collection were part of a student project at the New Mexico College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts done in fall of 1948 and summer of 1949. Warren C. Kreykenbohm, a student at the college, undertook a report on labor unions in New Mexico. While gathering information (which was to be submitted to Dr. Latien L. Camien), Kreykenbohm contacted labor leaders in the state. Among the labor leaders he corresponded with was C. D. Smotherman of the Carlsbad Potash Workers. ...
