Biographical / Historical

The Pete V. Domenici Institute for Public Policy (Domenici Institute) was established on the main campus of New Mexico State University in 2008 after the retirement of Pete V. Domenici from the U.S. Senate. Through the Domenici Student Scholars Program, the Domenici Institute partners with faculty and students from NMSU and other higher education institutions in New Mexico in a semester-long academic program intended to train and inspire the next generation of public policy researchers and leaders.

After completion of the semester-long program, students have the opportunity to have their policy white papers included in the Archives and Special Collections of the NMSU Library.
