Biographical / Historical

The Las Cruces Drug Store was founded in 1887 and was formerly know as Lane's Drug Store. At an unknown point, the name of the store was changed to the Las Cruces Drug Company, and under this name it was sold by R. P. Porter to John Schonborn in 1907. The store again changed hands in 1910, when Schonborn sold it to G. D. Martin, C. T. Seale, and B. G. Dyne. At this point, it was named the Las Cruces Drug Store. Nothing more is known about the business or its owners.

Processed by Jennifer Chavez, April 2016. The material was organized based on topic and chronological order, refoldered, and rehoused in an acid-free box. Photographs were placed in inert plastic sleeves and housed with the rest of the collection.
