Scope and Contents
The Guy and Lyndell Morris papers consists of pamphlets, yearbooks, certificates, id cards from 1918 to 1987. The pamphlets include publications from the Masons, Eastern Star, Sew and Sew club, First Baptist church, and Daughters of the American Revolution. A photo album is also included in the collection from Guy Morris’ time stationed (1918-1919) at Fort Bayard and the pictures show the old town of Ft. Bayard, Santa Rita, Silver City and Deming, NM.

Biographical / Historical
Guy Simeon Morris, born February 11, 1899 Illinois, was stationed at Fort Bayard from 1918 to 1919 and was honorably discharged from the United States Army on March 11, 1919. He was a clothing merchant at the time of his death on August 23, 1979 in Las Cruces, NM.
Lyndell Oline Gean Morris was born on August 28, 1905 and married Guy Morris on May 9t, 1925.
