These records come from meetings of the Criminal Justice Study Committee and the Water Usage and Resources Committee between 1979 and 1983. Two sessions of the Criminal Justice Studies Committee are represented here, while only one session of the Water Usage and Resources Committee is documented. The records comprise minutes, reports and resolutions.

Biography / History
The Criminal Justice Study Committee and the Water Usage and Resources Committee were organized to conduct research for the New Mexico Legislature during interim seasons between legislative sessions. These committees presented the findings of their research and drafts of resolutions to the legislative council. George E. Fettinger, a representative from Alamogordo, was a member of both these committees.
