Scope and Contents
The Loewenstein, Strousse and Co. correspondence contains 160 documents, mainly letters from other mercantile companies. These companies include: Gross, Blackwell & Co., Strousse & Bacharach, Brown & Manzanares Co. and Myer Friedman & Bro.
Letters to individual mercantile operators include Louis Sulzbacher, the Jaffa Brothers, and B. Gusdorf. Other letters are statements from the First National Bank in Las Vegas, NM, attorney Charles Ilfeld, and the Equitable Life Assurance Society among others.
