Scope and Contents
Letter from Surgeon General October 6, 1925 to Medical Officers in Charge U.S. Marine Hospital #9 requesting a historical sketch, specifically names and dates of historical importance. Response letter from Surgeon in charge H.J. Warner, January 6, 1926 enclosures included a chronological list of medical officers in charge 1900-1926. (Updated typing added later to include 1926 to 1938); Extract Report Secretary of War 1855, Jno. Garland, May 31 1855, and a 23 page report titled History of the Movement to Establish a Tubercular Sanitorium at Fort Stanton, New Mexico, by the U.S. Public Health Service.
Also includes a copy of Lincoln County by Geo. Rathman M.D., R.E. Blaney, DDS, Geo. Titsworth, James M. Carpenter, which is described as a booklet for the purpose of perpetuating significant facts of Lincoln County history.
