 File — Box: 6, Folder: 11

Scope and Contents

Includes miscellaneous notes on the manuscript “Song in the Home: An Authentic Story dramatizing the clash of cultures in pre-historic New Mexico” a note from Maude states “ The story is told to me by splendid old Santiago Naranjo of Santa Clara Pueblo, as having happened in the clan background of his ancestors who descended from the cliffs to present site, Santa Clara, it is probable that this happened during their tribe’s sojourn in the Puye Cliff Plateau some five miles up the Puye Canyon from their village. The present site of Santa Clara is on the Rio Grande near Espanola.”
