From the Collection: This collection contains correspondence, legal documents, financial records, photographs, orders, and printed materials pertaining to ranching, water resources, politics, the Civil War in New Mexico, and other matters. Also included are materials on the Tularosa Community Ditch and water rights on the Tularosa River, Southeastern New Mexico Stock Growers’ Association, Doña Ana County elections of 1894 and 1904, and information on the Tularosa Land and Cattle Company, Las Cruces lawyer S. B. Newcomb, politician Albert Bacon Fall, Congressman Antonio Joseph, pioneer Jewish merchant Louis Freudenthal, Joseph H. Blazer of Blazer’s Mill, La Luz merchant C. Myer, Carrizozo rancher William C. McDonald, politicians W. H. H. Llewellyn and Martin Lohman, rancher James A. Baird, Indian agent Walter M.
