Scope and Contents

From the Sub-Series: Arranged under three headings: general, photography and optical instrumentation, and planetary research. General files include information on topics such as artificial satellite instrumentation, atmospheric seeing, ballistic reduction methods, geodesy, rocketry, and tracking telescopes. Photography and optical instrumentation contains files on the Bowen-Knapp cameras, cinetheodolites, and Intercept Ground Optical Recorder (IGOR) equipment used at WSPG, as well as files on photographic procedures, sensitometry, photometry, and spectroscopy. Planetary research contains notes and observations of planets, including Mars during the opposition of 1954. Files are arranged alphabetically within each heading.
