 File — Box-folder: 62:12

Scope and Contents

From the Sub-Series: The subseries is organized in three sub-subseries: Astronomical Subjects, Miscellaneous Subjects, and UFO Related Files. The files in Astronomical Subjects primarily contain notes by Tombaugh on books and journal articles. In some cases a packet of notes, or even a single page, may include notes on two or more distinct topics. In these cases the notes are filed under the predominant topic, with additional topics listed in parentheses. Also in Astronomical Subjects is an astronomy notebook compiled by Tombaugh; included in this notebook is a typed and handwritten account "Some astronomical events in my life." Miscellaneous Subjects contains notes and printed material on subjects including energy issues, geology, and optics. The UFO related files begin with correspondence arranged alphabetically by correspondent; general files are arranged alphabetically following the correspondence.
