Patricia Tombaugh interviews

 File — Box-folder: 280

Scope and Contents

From the Series: The Clyde W. Tombaugh Oral History Project was conducted by Herbert A. Beebe in 1999-2002. The fourteen individuals interviewed include Patricia Tombaugh, personal friends, colleagues from Lowell Observatory, White Sands Proving Ground and NMSU, and fellow astronomers. The interviews are arranged in four groupings, Early Connections: Patricia Tombaugh, Henry Giclas, Walter Haas; White Sands Era: Arthur Scott Murrell, Jimmy Robinson, Cecil Post, Tom Bruce; NMSU and the Department: Brad Smith, William L. Reitmeyer, Lou Ann Youngblood, Charles L. Seeger; and, Latter Day Projects: Bernard McNamara, Robert Millis, Alan Stern. Also included here is an interview with Reta F. Beebe which was done as a practice and is not part of the oral history project proper. Transcripts and audio recordings of the interviews are included, and researchers are advised to make use of the transcripts rather than the audiocassettes.
