Scope and Contents
From the Sub-Series:
This subseries includes topical, general, and one folder of personal correspondence. Some of it was saved by Fall in individual folders titled with the authors name or the topic of the letters inside. These folders correspond to the file cards included in this collection and this accounts for the number and letter designations on their descriptions (although some of the original file names and numbers had been destroyed by rodents). Most of the correspondence includes Fall or his secretary’s responses. Significant topics or authors have been noted but this is not a complete listing of the folder contents. The topical folders are arranged alphabetically. Their contents are chronological.
The general correspondence is arranged chronologically. It includes a wide variety of topics including politics, land use, Indians, requests for assistance or appointments, legal matters, and mining. Significant authors or recipients have been listed but it is not a complete representation of the contents of the folders.
