Scope and Contents

The majority of the correspondences are love letters from several different women Juan associated with in his youth. Some material covers Juan's business trips to Mexico. A manuscript map of the West Indies, an abstract, and a legal agreement are included. Correspondence includes letters from: George D. Mueller; Martin Amador; Espiridion Provencio; Albineta Lujan; Mary Armstrong; Mary J. Cuniffe; Jennie Stephenson; Adela Stephenson; Julieta Amador; Francisco J. Amador; and Marie Louise Woodworth. Materials chiefly are in English and are arranged chronologically.
