In 1877, Nestor Armijo purchased a home located at Lohman and Church Streets in Las Cruces from Maricita Daily for $4,050. Years later he expanded the house and added a second story, which made the house the first two-story dwelling in Las Cruces.
This series contains information about the previous owners of the Armijo residence, which include the Barncastle and Daily families. The bulk of the material includes newspaper clippings, articles, and other printed works documenting the history and restoration of the dwelling. The bulk of the material is from the 1980s-1990s.
