 Series

Scope and Contents

The majority of the photographs depict members of the Casad and Mandell families, ranging from Maud C. Mandell’s immediate family to more extended relatives or people outside the family (including one portrait of Hiram Hadley). Many images show houses and other structures significant to the family history. Most photos have been labeled by family members, but some remain unidentified, and many are of uncertain date. A small group of photographs documenting Madeline Mandell’s professional career include a portrait, pictures of Mandell and colleagues, and a picture of her meeting with Hillary Clinton. There are two or three unnumbered prints stuck together which appear to be portraits of Humboldt C. Mandell.
