Pablo and Pablita Peña were the parents of Abe M. Peña. Pablo Peña, born in 1898, was the son of Abelicio Peña and Manuelita Ortega Peña of San Mateo, New Mexico. Pablita Marquez Peña was born in 1904 in Seboyeta, New Mexico to Fermin Marquez and Beneranda Chavez Marquez. Pablo Peña and Pablita Marquez married in Seboyeta, New Mexico in 1922 and lived in San Mateo afterwards. Pablo Peña was a sheep and cattle rancher, Valencia County commissioner and small business owner in Grants. Pablo Peña died in 1986 and Pablita Peña died in 1991. The series contains correspondence, account ledgers, ranching records, real estate titles and extensive legal papers on the settling of the Estate of Pablo Peña. Materials are in English and Spanish.
