Scope and Contents
From the Sub-Series:
This subseries contains the transcripts and the audio cassette tapes Homer made for Norman Brown as they began the writing of Tracks Across New Mexico. Many of the transcripts were in folders with a list of topics covered by the transcript, this order has been maintained with the first topic listed as the new folder title and arranged alphabetically. The original folder covers have been photocopied for preservation purposes; these copies are included in each new folder. Where possible, the tape numbers corresponding to the audio cassettes have been identified and cross referenced. The tapes do not always follow the transcripts exactly as they have been edited and are on their way to becoming chapters. The audio cassettes made by Homer are identified, when possible, with their transcripts from Box 11, as many of them had no indication of content. Not all of the tapes are of Homer speaking, some were gifts to Homer or are wildlife related. The tapes are arranged in the order they were found. Each tape has been given a tape number and are also listed in the Archives' Oral History Index; they are filed by tape number. Original copies are restricted from use due to their fragility; duplicate copies are available for use. Master copy is located with the collection, use copy is located in tape drawers.
