Scope and Contents

From the Series: This series contains the slides, photographs, negatives and films taken and collected by Homer over the years. This includes professional as well as family images. The images were removed from their original albums, binders or envelopes for preservation purposes and organized by format, the album images were kept in their original order; those with no discernible original order are arranged alphabetically. Titles from the albums or envelopes do not always accurately reflect the contents of the images. Many of the photographs from Los Alamos are official photographs taken by J. D. Shores as part of PR or news efforts. Some of the early photos are 1960s reprints through the Los Alamos photo lab. When people are present in the photos they are listed left to right. Before processing began some of the photos were separated from their original location; these are now in Box 29:12-27.
