Reports, site surveys, field journals, photographs, and research materials of Southwest archaeologist and historian John P. Wilson. The material covers Wilson's long career as a contract archaeologist, primarily in New Mexico and Arizona. Hundreds of reports published by Wilson were contracted by the Museum of New Mexico, private companies and federal agencies such as the U.S. Forest Service and the Bureau of Land Management. The materials cover primarily southern New Mexico, Arizona and parts of west Texas. Also included are many reports and publications on the same subject matter by other archaeologists and many newsletters of Southwest archaeological societies.
