Photograph album from Carlsbad, New Mexico titled "The Happy Summer of 1911 spent in Carlsbad, N.M. with Eva, Lester, Ed and Bunch. Contains 243 photographs (vendor count), mostly un-captioned, documenting the summertime activities of a group of young friends in Carlsbad in 1911. Images depict the group in funny and charming poses, arranged atop fence posts, dams and construction sites, hanging from power lines, posed in front of Santa Fe Railway cars, sitting on bridges, piled into a Regal model car, climbing rocky hills, picnicking, playing baseball, attending a carnival, on a camping trip, and one photograph of a young man in an early airplane. About 20 of the images have brief captions.
