Photographs made by John Karl Hillers during a survey of New Mexico and Arizona with the Bureau of American Ethnology, 1879-1880. The albumen prints measure 9x13 inches and are mounted on 16x20 boards. The photographs depict scenes related to the Indigeneous populations of the region. Sites include Canyon de Chelly, the Jemez ruins, Moqui (Hopi) Mesa, Santo Domingo Pueblo, Zuni Pueblo, Sandia Pueblo, Laguna Pueblo, and other unidentified locations.
