Content Description

Four albums, each containing approximately 100 photographs, of scenes throughout New Mexico; Arizona; Colorado; El Paso, Texas; and Cuidad Juarez, Mexico. W. D. Hollister stamped on two of the albums. Many of the photographs are identified. Description provided by book dealer from whom the albums were purchased reads: A large collection of photographs, well-identified and covering a number of states, including Wisconsin, Colorado, New Mexico, and Montana, among others. The albums belonged to Warren Dale Hollister, who was born in Delavan, Wisconsin in 1874. He died in Denver, Colorado in 1970. He was married to Grace Stewart Hollister, with whom he had two children, Edward and Jean. W. D. Hollister was president of Wisconsin State Bank for a time. Scenes include domestic, leisure, travel and recreation activities, as well as farming life and nature scenes. Albums measure 7.5 x 5.5 inches. Most photographs range in size from 2.5 x 3 inches to 4 x 5 inches. There are a handful of loose photographs A typed list of image descriptions is included.
