Provenance
According to Michael Ryan, donor, these family documents were saved by Maria Chavez Fountain. After her death in 1972, they passed to Celia Fountain, wife of Arturo Fountain (Maria's son). The papers were subsequently passed on to Celia Fountain's son, Art Fountain. Art Fountain gave the papers to Michael Ryan, April 2023, with the understanding that they might be donated to the NMSU Library Archives and Special Collections
