Scope and Contents From the Series: The Los Alamos Foundation was incorporated in 1940 to receive and dispense gifts and donations for educational purposes. It was organized primarily for the benefit of the Los Alamos Ranch School, which the U.S. War Department closed in February 1943. At that time all of the schools assets were turned over to the Foundation.
