Communications to Edward L. Bartlett only are extant. Late in 1895 Bartlett was replaced by John P. Victory who held the position until 1897, when he was replaced briefly by Albert B. Fall. The same year (1897) Edward L. Bartlett was again appointed Solicitor General by Governor Miguel A. Otero and held the post until 1905. There are no letters extant for the terms of office of Victory and Fall., 1895

From the Series: There are no extant Letters Received prior to May 12, 1890. The title of Attorney General had been changed by the territorial legislature to that of Solicitor General on Feb. 15, 1889. From 1889 to 1895, Edward L. Bartlett held the position of Solicitor General.
