This collection includes correspondence, reports, publications, and minutes of committees generated by this office, including all material related to university accreditation with the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association. Note: An index to the extensive files on the North Central Association visit in 2000 can be found in Box 30, Folder 4.
Beginning in 1922 the faculty of the university was involved in the academic administration of the institution through membership in a committee related to this office. That committee was variously named the “Committee on Credits” (1922-1933), the “Student Committee” (1935), the “Committee on Induction and Instruction” (1945-1952), the “Dean’s Advisory Committee” (1952-1974), the “Dean’s Advisory Committee for Undergraduate Academic Affairs” (1974-1988), and the “Academic Affairs Committee” (1988- ).
