Scope and Contents In her letter dated March 24, 1976, Kloss describes the weather, the native flora, and their property that they owned for 20 years including the original Tiwa name of the area "mahualukima," translating loosely to the place where the mountain (meaning Pueblo Peak) is obscured. There was an arroyo on the property where one could rest and water the horses in the ditch when it flowed, but the mountain was no longer visible from this spot.
