Scope and Contents

The bulk of the collection consists of photocopied material consisting of correspondence, newspaper articles, ephemera, and biographical material for regional artists and notatable figures in 20th-century Taos. There are transcipts of interviews conducted by Sylvia Loomis, Dean A. Porter, and Teresa Hayes Ebie spanning from the 1960s to the early 2000s. Topics range from WPA projects to artist and biographical interviews. In the collection is a series of audio cassette tapes containing recorded interviews. Of note is the Apodaca Field Journal of Helen Greene Blumenschein which includes transcribed material on an external thumb drive.

Abstract

This is the research collection of Teresa Hayes Ebie revolving around the lives and work of notable figures of the Taos art scene in the 20th century. Much of the collection contains photocopies. There is a notable amount of audio cassettes containing interviews, the bulk of which were recorded in the 1990s.

The collection is largely arranged in the order it was recieved from the donor.
