Scope and Content

From the Collection: The Robert Best Papers consist of correspondence, financial records, administrative records, IAIA Foundation minutes, and other materials related to Best’s involvement in the IAIA Foundation. The collection highlights the structure, activities, and the eventual dissolution of the former fundraising arm of IAIA, particularly the difficulties between IAIA Board of Trustees and the Foundation concerning its role in raising capital campaign funds for the new IAIA campus. Information included in the collection is the Memorandum of Understanding between IAIA and Rancho Viejo Partnership, the establishment of the Foundation as an independent Non-Profit entity, Articles of Incorporation of the Foundation, and the particulars of the transfer of the Federal Building to IAIA. MS 1, the Bill Johnson Papers, should be used in conjunction with this collection.
