Scope and Contents
Decree includes Martinez de Montoyas presentation of his service to the King after receiving his letter of nobility. On page 18, the same document continues, is Martinez de Montoyas declaration that founded "the plaza of Santa Fe." Martinez de Montoya requests official certification of his additional exploits and for permission to leave New Mexico. Cristobal de Oñate grants both requests.
