Scope and Content
Collection consists of two items: one 1909 invitation to Fiske for a reception in El Paso, Texas for U.S. President William Howard Taft and Mexican President Porfirio Diaz; and one undated leather bound notebook containing an inventory of Fiske's personal library. The notebook has typed entries with handwritten corrections and additions.

Personal History
Fiske was a prominent attorney in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He came to Santa in 1878. He was appointed U.S. Attorney for New Mexico in 1889 and served through 1893. Fiske was active in organizing the New Mexico Bar Association, the Santa Fe Board of Trade, and the first gas company in New Mexico.
