Historical Information
The Dominguez y Escalante Bicentennial Expedition (DEBE) was organized to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the original expedition. The twelve participants traveled by horseback for six months, following the 1776 trail as closely as possible. Along the way they were welcomed by many towns and organizations with ceremonies and celebrations.
