Business History

The firm of Browne & Manzanares was renamed from Chick, Browne and Co. (a Kansas City, MO mercantile and hauling firm) following the naming as partner of Francisco Antonio Manzanares, a New Mexico native and one-term United States Congressman from New Mexico. The firm moved to Las Vegas, NM from Kansas City in 1879.
